PURPOSE
Shattered Pots Magazine is a monthly internet magazine (e-zine) intended to encourage, teach and equip believers to grow and mature in their faith in God during life and faith-shattering trials......and ordinary every-day life.
So the purpose of this website will be to use the “shattered pot” experiences of our contributors to give hope to others going through a “shattered pot” experience, comfort them, help them understand the purpose of their brokenness and then, hopefully, help them see the plan God has for their life after He fashions them from a painful, raw lump of clay into a new vessel fit for service.
God planted the seed or idea of a series of Shattered Pot stories in my heart during a life-threatening health situation more than 2 years ago and although at that time, I had no idea where or how it would evolve, He nurtured and provided encouragement and provision through a number of Divine Detours, as my dear friend and Sunday School teacher, Donna Helms calls them.
PROCESS
If we are willing to endure the pressure of His hands as He molds and re-shapes us from the brokenness of our circumstances, our lives can become beautiful vessels of service in the Kingdom of God. It is a painful process and I do not know a single Christian who has not been through a shattered pot experience at some point in their Christian life...or who may even be going through one now.
HELP AND RESOURCES
As you read their stories each month, we hope you will discover how they learned to grieve, grow and give back to the Kingdom of God and comfort others with the comfort they were given. New ministry evolves from the crucible of suffering and God does not allow any trial or test to be wasted when the vessel is willing to stay in the hands of the Divine Potter long enough to be re-shaped for His purpose. The people in these stories are real and are willing to help you discover how to use your own shattered pot experience as a springboard for ministry to others.
THIS WEBSITE IS A "Pot in the Process" The look and content of the website will continue to evolve...this is my first attempt at building and managing my own website...but the theme will be consistent. And that theme is to use Shattered Pot stories to encourage, comfort, teach and equip believers to grow into useful servants in the Kingdom of God. Your ideas and suggestions are very welcome.

I want to take a minute to express my gratitude to everyone who has encouraged me to pursue this project. I don't know why I resisted, but it has been a constant struggle. Maybe it is because I could not do it without painful introspection and I do not readily welcome that element of the process.
I especially want to thank Pat Knox, Michelle Washam, Marolyn Ford, my family, the incredible ladies in my Sunday School class and many other friends who, over the years, have encouraged me to pursue this discipline.
