(big people have more trouble understanding....)
- Everyone has Sinned---done stuff they know they know they shouldn't have done. The Bible lists 10 commandments if you aren't sure.
- God hates sin and won't allow it in His perfect Heaven
- Sin must be punished---by death
- Jesus took our punishment /died instead of us on the cross
- Admit you have done stuff you shouldn't have---at least once!
- Believe that Jesus took your punishment---this is called Faith
- Tell God you are sorry you did bad stuff---this is called Repentance
- Tell God you trust Him and ask Him to be in charge of your life so you won't do as much bad stuff anymore...not like a mean boss, but as a guide, teacher and someone who wants to show you how to be the best you can be---telling God stuff and asking for His help is called prayer.
- Be baptized (Jesus did this, too, to set an example of how to obey---not a requirement to be saved.)
- In order to grow up in your faith, read the Bible, attend church, and pray---that way when you hear the bad voice in your mind say...."DO IT"...and the good voice in your mind say..."DON'T DO IT"...you will know which voice is God who wants to keep you out of trouble and which voice is the devil who loves to get you in trouble.
